It’s probably the most famous song in the world right now that no one understands the lyrics to. The speeding train of international pop hits that is Psy’s “Gangnam Style” went off the charts on the insanity meter last night at the 40th annual American Music Awards.

Psy performed his chart-busting hit before the crowd at the AMAs, and everyone in the crowd, including the guys from One Direction, busted out with their pony dances. The whole crowd was wild and pumped up, and as if it couldn’t get any better… it did.

MC Hammer joined Psy on stage for a mashup of “Gangnam Style” with “Too Legit To Quit.” The awesomeness was so overwhelming, even Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet was caught on camera stunned.
