The end of the world is nigh. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have ended their relationship.

Rumors of a split had been circulating for weeks, especially after Bieber tweeted a picture around Halloween of him looking into a mirror with the caption “Lingse.” That picture was later removed, but the speculation he was sending a message as “Lingse” is an anagram of “single.”

The break up is now official as word broke on E! Online over the weekend that Bieber and Gomez had, indeed, gone their separate ways. A source was quoted citing busy schedules as the reason for the break up as it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the relationship.

Bieber isn’t taking the split lying down. He performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York Wednesday night, and he was spotted Thursday at a Broadway performance of The Lion Kingwith 19-year old model Barbara Palvin.
