This morning, the City of Dallas will honor then men and women who have served our country with a Veterans Day Parade through downtown Dallas.
Starting at 9:30AM, you can find military vehicles on display at City Hall. Ceremonies honoring veterans begin at 10:50AM. The parade itself will start at 11:20AM at Union Station, roll through downtown on Main Street to Ervay, and wrap up at City Hall.
This year’s parade honors the 70th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid, when bombers attacked Japan’s largest island during WWII. Serving as Grand Marshall of the parade is Lt. Col. Edward J. Saylor, who took part in the raid. The parade will feature more than 150 entries from military, veterans’ organizations, marching bands, Dallas ISD Junior ROTC programs, and more.
