“A Child to Love” October 28, 2012
There are more than 300 children living in foster care in North Texas. And more than 1,000 children looking for a home through adoption. The Gladney Center for Adoption helps kids of all ages find homes. And they are hosting two special events coming up. November 3rd is the Foster Care Appreciation Dinner and November 10th there will be a very in-depth Awareness Fair at the Gladney Center for Adoption office in Fort Worth. The informative fair starts at 10 am.
Guests include: Starla Abraham, Child Protective Services
Texas Child Protective Services (CPS) is a great organization that really puts the child first. Whether by helping a child find a home or helping a child get out of an abusive situation. Starla will introduce us to Anastasia, a child looking for a home. If you suspect child abuse, either call 911 or the Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400 (its toll free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, nationwide).
Guest: Traci Brandon, Gladney Center for Adoption
For 125 years, the Gladney Center for Adoption has been a leading voice for helping children, adoptive families and birth parents. Traci will introduce us to Colin, a local foster child who found a forever home. He was adopted along with his sisters.
