16-year old Miranda Ferguson totally flipped out on Friday. No really, she flipped her way from 15-yard line to 15-yard line in an attempt to get her name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most consecutive hand-springs in a row.
Her total: 35.
The Hockaday School junior wowed her friends by hitting 20 in a row one day. A friend suggested that she should try to break the record, which was 32. She succeeded in matching the 32 hand-spring record at a recent practice, but her big attempt came Friday during halftime at the Hockaday School game versus St. Martin’s School of Texas game.
In the video, the crowd and cheerleaders count each of her handsprings until she hits 35. Embraced by her fellow cheerleaders, they hand her a tshirt that says, “World Record Holder.”
