We’ve known it for years, but now we have some proof to back it up. Texas is a great place to live. Especially North Texas. CNN Money came out with the list of America’s 100 best small cities to live in. They take into account schools, jobs, housing, and quality of life.
Two North Texas towns, McKinney (2) and Allen (13) made the lists top 15. Last year Texas didn’t even crack the top 25. Murphy had the best showing at number 27.
McKinney fell to Carmel, Indiana. The former bedroom community is thriving 20 minutes outside of Indianapolis.
This year five Texas towns placed in the top 50 on the list. Also making it in there is Flower Mound (32), Mansfield (28) and Pflugerville (43). Many other states also placed 5 cities in the top 100 but none more than that.
