Reporting Leigh Ann Adam
The conundrum of the bike helmet is one that has been around almost as long as the bike. How do you stay safe on a bike and not look completely ridiculous.
We can all admit that one of the reasons we stopped riding bikes after the age of 15 is for fashion. Yes, we also had our drivers license and you can get places a lot faster in a car, but the fashion thing too.
Bike helmets have never looked good, they never fit comfortably and really we never felt any safer with them on. But with gas prices looking to stay around $3.50 a gallon doesn’t a nice bike ride to work or the train seem like a nice way to save some money.
Well two design students might have just changed the world.
It all started with an idea. “Design students Anna and Terese took on a giant challenge as an exam project. Something no one had done before. If they could swing it, it would for sure be revolutionary. The bicycle is a tool to change the world. If we use bikes AND travel safe: Life will be better for all.”
We don’t want to spoil the video for you, but let us just say we’re thinking about going out and getting a new bike. This was absolutely spectacular.
