Randy Travis Arrested And Charged With DWI In Grayson County
Country music legend Randy Travis was arrested and charged with DWI, retaliation and obstruction last night in Grayson County.
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the singer is being held in the Grayson County Jail. He was found naked by a witness who called 911 about a one-vehicle accident and a man lying in the street, according to several the sheriff’s office.
Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, Travis was arrested by a state trooper after he wrecked his car.
When Travis was confronted by the trooper about the strong smell of alcohol, the singer refused a breath test. After a search warrant was issued, a blood sample was taken at a nearby hospital.
The country singer has been charged with obstruction and retaliation, as well as the DWI, because he threatened to shoot and kill the troopers who were working the case. His bond for both charges total $21,500.
This is Travis’ second arrest for DWI this year, in February he was arrested and charged when he was found sleeping in his car outside a Sanger Baptist Church.
