Employers Get Suspicious If You Don’t Have A Facebook
Are you one of the handful of people that don’t have a Facebook profile? With the overwhelming popularity of the website, employers find it suspicious if you’ve never had a Facebook account.
Think about all the ways we use Facebook. We detail our day-to-day lives, share pictures of our shenanigans, make and share posts that support our beliefs and affiliations, and so on. More and more, employers are using Facebook to “check out” potential employees, and according to Forbes, not having a Facebook profile raises red flags in the minds of hiring managers. They become suspicious that you might be hiding something, and that might hurt your job prospects.
Not only will it hurt your finding a job, not having a Facebook profile could hurt your chances of finding love. Potential partners checking to see that you are indeed who your dating profile says you are may be turned off by the lack of a social media presence. Especially amongst the younger set, as parents want to insure the safety of their children with potential suitors.
