Us Weekly has some ideas on who might be filling the empty judging chairs on American Idol for Season 12.
You already know that Mariah Carey will be replacing Jennifer Lopez as the main female judge on the show, but Steven Tyler is out as well and Randy Jackson’s role might be changing.
Nick Jonas, 19, and N.E.R.D. rapper Pharrell Williams, 39, are rumored to be at the top of the list to make some singers dreams come true. Us Weekly is also referencing a source that is saying Jackson will be moved to a mentoring role.
No word out of either camp but we’re keeping an eye on it and if anything definitive comes down we’ll have it for you. It looks like Williams, who’s produced the likes of Brittney Spears and Justin Timberlake, is closer to agreeing to a contract than Jonas.
