I absolutely LOVE celebrating 4th of July for a number of reasons. First and foremost to celebrate the Freedom we all are so lucky to have. I also love gathering with friends and family and using the time to catch up and enjoy quality time while enjoying fabulous food. Obviously the Hot Dog is an American staple and grilling on the 4th of July must include hot dogs. However these 10 recipes will put a spin on the dog guaranteed to feel like the 4th of July in your mouth with flavor!

Let’s take a trip around the world with these 10  dogs guaranteed to be a hit at your party!

Bahn Mi Dog

In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup mayo (or use plain greek yogurt or sour cream as a substitute. I HATE mayo), 1 tablespoon Sriracha (Asian Chili-garlic sauce), and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with the mayo mixture, 4 cooked dogs, 1/4 thinly sliced cucumber, 1 shredded carrot and 1/4 cup mint leaves.

Steak House Dog

Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with 4 cooked dogs, 2 sliced plum tomatoes, 1/4 thinly sliced white onion and 1/4 cup of your favorite steak sauce.

Peach Salsa Dog

In a medium bowl, mix together 2 chopped peaches, 1/2 to 1 chopped jalapeno, 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice; season with salk and pepper. Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with 4 cooked hot dogs and the peach salsa.

Tahini Dog

In a medium bowl, mix together 2 cups finely shredded red cabbage and 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar; season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons each plain yogurt, tahini (sesame paste), and water. Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with 4 cooked dogs, the cabbage and yogurt mixtures, 2 sliced scallions, and 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper.

Guacamole Dog

In a medium bowl, mash 1 peeled and pitted avocado with 1 tablespoon lime juice; season with salt and pepper. Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with 4 small romaine lettuce leaves, 4 cooked dogs, the mashed avocado, and 1/4 chopped small red onion. Drizzle with hot sauce.

Cubano Dog

Dividing evenly, top 4 split hot dog buns with 4 slices deli ham and 4 slices swiss cheese. Grill over medium-high heat, covered or broil until the Swiss cheese is melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Dividing evenly, top with 4 cooked dogs, 1/2 cup sliced pickles, and 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard.

Garden Dog

In a medium bowl, mix together 2 cups baby arugula, 1/2 cup pickled beets (cut into wedges), 1 tablespoon olive oil, and 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar; season with salt and pepper. Dividing evenly, top 4 split buns with 4 cooked dogs, the salad, and 1 ounce shaved Parmesan.

Bacon Barbecue Dog

Cook 4 slices bacon in a large skillet oever medium heat until crisp, 6 to 8 minutes; let cool, then crumble. Dividing evenly, top 4 split buns with 4 cooked dogs, 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, 1 cup grated cheddar, and the bacon.

Pizza Dog

Dividing evenly, top 4 split buns with 4 cooked dogs, , 1/2 cup marinara sauce, and 4 ounces sliced mozzarella. Grill over medium high heat, covered, or broil until the mozzarella is melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Dividing evenly, top with 1/4 cup basil leaves.

Mac and Cheese Dog

On a rimmed baking sheet, toss together 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil; season with salt and pepper. Bake at 350˚ F until golden, 4 to 6 minutes. Dividing evenly, top 4 split buns with 4 cooked dogs, 1 cup prepared macaroni and cheese (boxed frozen or homemade), and the bread crumbs.
