Those secret purchases you’re hiding from your spouse might come back to bite you in the end. Just ask poker pro and self-proclaimed shoe addict Beth Shak. Her ex-husband is suing her over a “secret” stash of 1,200 pairs of high-end designer shoes worth more than $1 million.
Beth Shak is well-known for her poker skills on World Series of Poker as well as being one of the world’s biggest designer shoe aficionados. He ex-husband, Daniel Shak, claims he never knew about the huge shoe collection in their home and accuses his ex-wife of hiding them in a “secret room.”
“I’m shaking my head over this whole thing,” Beth said. “He is saying he didn’t know the closet in our master bedroom existed.”
Beth isn’t shy about her shoe addiction. Her collection has been featured on The Today Show and an episode of MTV’s Cribs. She even has a tattoo of the famous Christian Louboutin red-bottomed stiletto. Beth told the The New York Post that Daniel must have been the most oblivious husband to be so unaware of her passion for shoes.
Daniel claims that she never disclosed the shoe collection, which contains about 700 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, at the time of their divorce. He says he’s entitled to 35% of the estimated $1 million value on the collection.
