Although the duo “Karmin” might seem new to many; their music may be familiar.  In fact, it was used in last year’s promos for the 2011 NBA Finals (won by the Dallas Mavericks for those with short memories).

The duo (Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan) met while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston.  They got around to recording their first album, then got married later that year. 

Their career really took off after appearing on the “Ellen” show, and now they have over 150 million Youtube hits.  They recently signed to Epic Records, and their second album, “Hello” dropped on May 8^th.  Their song “Brokenhearted” in flying up the charts and they’ve already made appearances on SNL and Ellen (again) to promote it.
