Keeping their promise from this past March, Matchbox Twenty has announced the name of their upcoming single hitting next month and the album to come in September.
The band’s official Twitter posted this info for fans today.
We are ready to announce the new record is called NORTH. Everywhere on Sept 4. Listen for the new single ‘She’s So Mean’ in the weeks ahead

As previously reported, the band is once again working with their longtime producer Matt Serletic.
North will be the first release from the band in five years, the last being 2007′s Exile on Mainstream.
