Barbra Streisand just signed a contract extension with Sony Music for $30 million dollars. The New York Post is reporting that the TV, film, stage and music star has been approached to record an album of duets with younger hipper artists.
The artists thought to be in consideration for the album include Adele and Rihanna. The move would look to introduce Streisand to a younger audience and entice them to buy the duet album with some of their favorite stars. Columbia successfully did this with Tony Bennett last year when he recorded “The Lady Is A Tramp” with Lady gaga and “Body and Soul” with Amy Winehouse.
Before the recording gets underway Babs is set to do a chairty event with Bill Clinton and a new movie, “The Guilt Trip,” with Seth Rogen.
