This means you have less than 48 hours in which to buy the mom in your life a gift. Whether she’s your own mother or the mother of your children, here are a few gifts to avoid giving on Mother’s Day.

Unless there was a specific documented request, do not buy anything resembling a blender, coffee maker, or toaster. You will be toast if you do. Instead, let her know that you will be making her breakfast in bed, bring her coffee or a mimosa, and fix her favorite breakfast dish.
