Families Spend $5,000 On Wedding For Dogs
Two families united in matrimony last weekend in Palm Springs, California. The bride and groom looked ravishing in their custom designed ensembles.
However the bride and groom were still dogs.
MyDesert.com is reporting, the bride, Scruffy Rubin, wore a lovely custom dress, veil and leash. The groom, Snickers Carter, wore a white tuxedo.
The entire affair included a live band, cake, open bar, reception, and “priest” to perform the vows. The cost of the wedding was about $5,000, and more than 1oo friends and family members were in attendance.
“I’m not losing a son, I’m gaining a daughter-in-law,” laughed Ann Carter mother of the groom.
Instead of gifts the happy couple asked for donations to benefit the Orphan Pet Oasis Human Society of the Desert in North Palm Springs.
“In planning this event Ernie and Ann wanted to make sure that a charity was involved and they felt strongly about what we do at the society,” said society representative and guest Jennifer Hamilton.
The couple decided to forgo a pre-PUP-tual agreement.
