A few staples of Irish cuisine is corned beef & cabbage with Irish soda bread. Corned beef has nothing to with corn, but refers to salt “corns” used to cure the beef. Corned beef used to be really expensive in Ireland, so it wasn’t widely popular. It wasn’t until Irish immigrants coming to the States found it more affordable in America that it became a popular staple in their cuisine.
Irish soda bread is a super easy to make recipe that only involves four ingredients: flour, buttermilk, salt, and baking soda. Check out this easy recipe!
