It’s been a long time coming, but tonight is the night the Dallas Mavericks finally receive their championship rings. The ring ceremony will take place 15 minutes before tonight’s game against Minnesota.
It’s been a long wait, but with good reason. According to the Star-Telegram, Mark Cuban wanted to wait until tonight’s game against Minnesota so that J.J. Barea could receive his ring.
“That’s why we did it on that day — just so it could be for J.J. Because of all the players who aren’t here, he’d been here the longest and obviously was a big part of who we are,” Cuban said about planning the ceremony.
