Take advantage of the spring-like weather we’ve been enjoying and get outdoors. There are so many great things to do outdoors in North Texas, like guided tours by the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center  in Cedar Hill.

Dogwood Canyon is located in southwest Dallas County near the Cedar Hill State Park. They have many great trails and lots of beautiful sights to see. Dogwood Canyon is a unique area as it is a convergence of plants and animals from east, central, and west Texas.

While much of the hiking trails aren’t accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, they just completed an ADA-accessible 1/2 mile trail in the canyon floor.

They have guided tours that can take you around the trails and point out all the different plants and animals that live in the area. These tours have to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Check out dogwoodcanyonaudubon.org for the different tours and booking information.
