According to a survey by Coldwell Banker Real Estate, three-quarters of Americans will be decking their halls this Christmas. While most keep it tame, 11% pull out all the stops. How does your Christmas compare to the 1,000 people surveyed?
More than half of Americans will be singing “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” as their holiday plans include staying overnight with family all under one roof. 39% will see a full house with 15 or more family and friends celebrating the holidays.
The survey also found that most of those folks will gather where there’s food to graze on and room to circulate. 41% crowd into the kitchen, while 43% hang in the living room and 12% gather around the dining room table.
One interesting fact in the survey is that most people claim they’ve never snooped for presents (liars!). 77% claim they’ve never poked around for hidden presents before the big day. 23% came clean to their clandestine Christmas operations.
There truly is no place like home for the holidays. They have become a time to celebrate family, blessings, and togetherness.
