Leigh Ann always seems to find the strangest stories. This little gem, or should I say big one, might make you a bit ill. It’s about father and son bonding and a toe.

Fathers and sons bonding. It’s traditionally done over such things as fishing, ball games or projects together. But this father and son decided to bond over something radically different. A big toe. No not theirs, a dead mans.

The father and son team of Ron and Matt Franscell took a trip in search of bonding and a mysterious drink. The Sourtoe Cocktail. What is that? Well, the  Sourtoe Cocktail, is a famous beverage served only in one place in all of the world: The Sourdough Saloon in Dawson City, a town 300 miles from the Arctic Circle in Canada’s Yukon Territory.

The journey has led to Franscell authoring the book, “The Sourtoe Cocktail Club: The Yukon Odyssey of a Father and Son in Search of a Mummified Toe … And Everything Else”
