Lite’s Review Room: Weekend Movies – ‘Puss in Boots’ ‘Rum Diary’ ‘Anonymous’ & More (page 3)
The first line in the trailer hooked us. We love Shakespeare, but we’re also a little into conspiracy. How could this movie not be intriguing. The idea is that William Shakespeare was just a name, someone that conspirators and people in the aristocracy could use as a face for these plays that were to rile up the public and speak down upon the very place the real writers came from. The crazy thing is, this movie isn’t just a movie plot. The writer (John Orloff) and director (Ronald Emerich) believe it to be true.
[photogallerylink id=60255 align=left]While we would love to believe that the works of William Shakespeare are indeed that; we have to say this film makes some interesting points against it. And this isn’t a love story, so don’t be afraid to take your man with you. There is plenty of action, backhanded deals, lies & deception to keep him interested. If you’re looking to for a good date movie that might get you thinking differently about something you’ve always believed, go see “Anonymous”.
