Code Orange! Code Orange! You still don’t have a Halloween costume for this year’s party?! Have no fear, friend, here are some quick, fun and easy costume ideas in case you’re stuck.
Audrey Hepburn – Every woman has a little black dress in her closet. All you need is rhinestone tiara and necklace from the teen jewelry place in the mall, a coffee, a bagel, and big sunglasses to become Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Envy – The greenest of emotions is the easiest costume. Find all the green clothing in your closet and add the letter N and V to the front. All your friends will be jealous of your envious costume.
Self Portrait – Grab an empty picture frame and walk around holding it up, or figure out a good way to let it frame your face all night. Plus it gives you a great photo op with all your friends.
Smartiepants – This is the perfect last minute costume idea. Raid the Halloween candy aisle for a bag of Smarties candy. Tape the Smarties to your pants. Aren’t you clever!
Pintrest – If you spend all your time on Pintrest.com, then you already have your costume at your fingertips. Print out your favorite items “pinned” on your board, and then pin those to your clothes.
50 Shades of Gray – Make light of the most popular book of the year by heading to the paint department of your favorite home improvement store. Grab 50 gray paint sample strips and attach them to your clothes. Handcuffs and whip is optional.
Tan Mom – Go wild with some temporary spray tan in the darkest shade you can find. Orange face paint could work too. Add a tank top and shorts to show off that new tanorexic look.
Cereal Killer – Stab a box of cereal with a kitchen knife. Bonus points for fake blood.
Zombie Anything – Put a scar on your face and limp around in some ripped clothes. How dedicated you want to go is completely up to you.
Quarter Pounder – Really Easy. Grab a hammer and stick a few quarters in your pocket. When someone asks you what you are put a quarter on the table and hit it with the hammer.
Refrigerator Magnet – Take a shoe box, paint it black and adhere it to your back. (Adding simple straps is probably the easiest way to do this).
Magic 8 Ball – Wear all black and put an ‘8’ on your back. Then make an origami fortune teller out of blue construction paper. (You know, this) and make people shake you to pick their future.
Shot in the Dark – Wear all black and hang a shot glass around your neck. Plus you’ll always know where your glass is.
Tickled Pink – If you love to laugh, you can be “Tickled Pink” all night! Dress up in all pink, the more pink the better! Pink feather boa, pink cowboy hat, pink dress, pink pants, pink shoes, pink wig, pink, pink, pink!! This is also a great way to wrap up Breast Cancer Awareness month with oodles of pink support!
Gold Digger – Whether you’re Kanye West, a prospector, or just looking for a sugar daddy, you can spray paint a shovel and be a gold digger.
