When you think of things you would find washed up on a beach, messages in a bottle, sea shells, bits of driftwood, and maybe a starfish or jellyfish. Visitors to a beach in Siesta Key, Florida, got a bit of shock something unexpected recently washed up. It was an 8 foot tall LEGO man.
The giant LEGO man washed up on the Florida beach wearing a green shirt piece with a puzzling message that reads “No Real Than You Are.” Beachgoers fished him out of the surf and set him standing up on the beach where they found him.
Amanda Santoro, Assistant Brand Relations Manager at LEGO, says the “stunt” is “in no way endorsed or sponsored by the LEGO Group or its affiliates.”
On the back of the LEGO man is a the name, Ego Leonard. Google searches for “Ego Leonard” brings up a Dutch/English website for the mysterious LEGO man.
Odd as it may seem, this wasn’t an isolated event. Another giant LEGO man washed up outside of a Dutch resort in Zandervoort. The same figure was also found on Brighton beach in the UK.
Joke or not, people and LEGO fans across the world have been enraptured by the mysterious giant LEGO man sightings.
