Texas Rangers catcher Mike Napoli has been coming through all post-season for the Rangers and Monday night was no different. Napoli hit the go ahead double to score 2 runs in the 8th inning and threw out two runners trying to steal to help the Rangers to a 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Another tight win for the Rangers gives them a 3-2 series lead in the Fall Classic and sit just one win away from claiming their first ever World Series title.
Adrian Beltre hit a game tying home run in the 6th inning falling to one knee as he swung to tie the game at 2-2. No more runs were scored until Napoli took a pitch with the bases loaded to the right center field wall to drive in two runs in the 8th inning. Neftali Feliz came in and closed the game out for his 6th save in the post season to get the Rangers one step closer.
Game 6 will be in St. Louis on Wednesday night.
