How long do you take to get ready? A new survey reports that the average lady spends around 38 minutes in the morning on getting ready. What will shock you is how long that look will last in comparison to the time investment.

Let’s say that your last glance in the mirror before heading out the door in the morning is at 7:40 and you look fabulous. According to the Daily Mail, you will need to touch up your hair and make-up around 10am. That’s right, the average time a woman looks “perfect” is 2 hours and 22 minutes. 75% of woman in the study recognized their look tends to fall over the course of the day.

For all that invested time in our appearance, you’d think it would last a bit longer. While 38 minutes of prep time doesn’t seem like much, here’s a break down of how the average woman’s beauty routine:

• 10 minutes in the shower
• 11 minutes drying and styling hair
• 8 minutes for applying make-up
• 9 minutes picking out clothes and getting dressed

On the other hand, 2,000 of the guys surveyed felt way more confident about how they look all day, saying they looked “great all day.”
