[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]KISS[/lastfm] rocker Gene Simmons married his long-time girlfriend of 28-years, Shannon Tweed, this weekend. They celebrated their nuptials with hundreds of friends, including a camera crew for their reality show, Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels.

Simmons, 62, and Tweed, 54, wrote their own vows, and exchanged them before 400 guests in the crystal lawn of the Beverly Hills Hotel. The bride wore an ivory gown and carried ivory roses. Their children, Nick and Sophie, were involved in the planning. Nick designed the invitations, while Sophie wrote the message that was found inside: ”After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot. Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life … well, it doesn’t change that much.”

Sophie also served as maid-of-honor and serenaded her parents with her rendition of “At Last.” Other members of the star-studded guest list included Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher, and fellow KISS bandmate Paul Stanley.
