Yesterday, at Day 13 of the U.S. Open, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cyndi Lauper[/lastfm] joined the ranks of many artists before her by flubbing the lyrics to The Star-Spangled Banner. Her unique interpretation came directly after a moment of silence for the victims of 9/11.

She started out on the right track, but that “O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?” line seems to be a memory killer. Check it out.

At least she fared somewhat better than [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] at last year’s Super Bowl.
