Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries was every bit the big to-do everyone was expecting it to be, and much, much more. While the rest of us will have to wait until October 9th to see E!’s four-hour special, Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, you can quench your thirst for juicy details right here.
Kim Kardashian’s big day had a $10 million price tag, but the only thing Kim and Kris will be opening their wallets for is the $17 million they will earn from the wedding. E! is paying them a reported $15 million for the October special, and People is giving them $2.5 million for the wedding pictures.
Guests to the wedding received a box covered in jet black hematite crystals containing their invitation to the big event. The invitation’s were designed by Lehr & Black, who have created invites for Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, as well as Fergie and Josh Duhamel.
Among the invited were birthday girl Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacrest, Kathy Lee Gifford, Nicole Richie, and Lindsay Lohan, who saw the wedding as a chance to relaunch herself into the Hollywood social scene. All of the 450 guests were asked to wear black and white.
The dress was a beautiful, form-fitting, strapless gown designed by Vera Wang. Kim also wore a diamond encrusted tiara that looked like something Disney Princess Jasmine would wear. She also wore her favorite Christian Louboutin heels. The bridesmaids also wore Vera Wang in ivory, keeping with the black and white theme. Mom Kris Jenner’s Vera Wang dress had a huge bow detail on the front that almost stole the show.
The real show stealer was ring bearer Mason, Kourtney’s 21-month old son. He sprinted down the aisle and squealed with delight so loud that it startled a few of the guests.
Kim created a special, limited edition perfume for her wedding called Love by Kim Kardashian. The $100 fragrance will come in crystal-encrusted bottles. Only 1,000 bottles were made and they are certain to go fast.
The wedding special Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event will air Sunday, October 9th at 7pm Central and Monday, October 10th at 8pm Central on E!. To tie you over until then, here is a little taste of what you’ll see!
