We were always a little confused as to why that chick in Detroit tried to rip off Rhianna’s weave, but now we know: her hair is worthy $22,000 a week. For most of us non-celebrities who can barely afford a bang trim, that is about the price of a brand new car or even, dare we say, an entry-level journalist’s annual paycheck.

While Rihanna’s red-hot locks are always perfectly coiffed and pretty, her hair doesn’t look like it should cost that much money to maintain. Unless, of course, her extensions are clipped in with diamonds and gold.

Apparently, part of the reason that Rihanna keeps Stephen on with such a steep salary is that the two have become friends. So maybe it’s like Stephen acts as a hair stylist/best friend/assistant/celeb tamer/psychotherapist?

With all those responsibilities, is Stephen still worth it?
