Oprah Winfrey, James Earl Jones, and Dick Smith, a makeup artist, are set to receive Oscars in November. They will be recognized in November at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences‘ Governors Awards.

Oprah Winfrey will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic and humanitarian contributions, including her Academy for Girls in South Africa. Oprah was nominated for an Oscar in 1985 for her supporting role in The Color Purple.

James Earl Jones will be recognized for his outstanding career of more than 50 films. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 1971’s The Great White Hope. His most iconic credits include the voice of Darth Vader and his roles in Field of Dreams, Patriot Games, The Sandlot, and The Hunt for the Red October.

Makeup artist Dick Smith will also be recognized for his career that includes work in The Godfather, The Exorcist, and Taxi Driver.
