Followers of the White House Twitter feed recently got a surprise when they clicked on a link posted in a tweet. They got rickrolled.

The White House Twitter feed got in a little “rickrolling” action yesterday. In response to this tweet from someone complaining that the press briefing was a little dull, the White House responded: “Sorry to hear that. Fiscal policy is important, but can be dry sometimes. Here’s something more fun.” The link led to Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up video.

Rickrolling is a bait and switch prank where people are asked to click on an “interesting” link, however instead of the “interesting” link, Rick Astley appears.

What was the best rickroll? It doesn’t get much better than the White House, however here a couple of memorable rickrolls.
