Watermelons are a delicious summer staple. They are also incredibly versatile.
Kimberly Schlegel Whitman has a cool summer centerpiece idea in today’s Lifestyle Tips.
You can turn a watermelon into a flower vase to make a fabulous summer centerpiece. Simply place 2 or 3 watermelons in a large galvanized tub. Get a knife and carefully cut off the top 1/4 of the watermelon. You can stick red gerber daisies or another flower of your choice right into the red fleshy part of the fruit. It’s so simple, and the juice and sugar in the watermelon will keep the flowers looking fresh!
