I am a huge plane fanatic. I love to head out to DFW Airport and hang at Founders Plaza and watch the planes take off and land. I also am obsessed with the idea of flying and often wonder if I missed my calling and should have been a pilot. Luckily I have a few friends who are pilots so I get to live vicariously through them. Dallas based American Airlines just announced the largest plane order in history, ordering 460 planes from Airbus and Boeing to be delivered over the next 5 years.

The order American placed will make them the youngest and biggest operator in America. But what does the future hold for air travel? I can remember when Boeing announced their new 787, which by the way was spotted at DFW yesterday (pictures possibly tomorrow on that). The Dreamliner is gorgeous. Airbus already has their A380 double decker in use with a number of airlines. But what’s news?
