Ideas for Summer Block Parties from Kimberly Schlegel Whitman:

• Coordinate with everyone on the block to turn the sprinkler on at the same time to create a water park for the kids. You may only want to do one side of the street for the people who don’t want to get wet.
• Designate one house to do the grilling. Have everyone bring salads or desserts, and BYOM (Bring Your Own Meat).
• Set up sand boxes and have a sandcastle contest
• Share vacation photos
• Badminton, croquet, and bocce ball are fun summer games that everyone can enjoy!
