Another huge star cancels shows due to illness. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm] has been forced to cancel two shows, one in Chicago and on in St. Paul scheduled for this weekend.

Apparently Katy contracted food poisoning which resulted in severe dehydration forcing the cancellation of the shows. According to a post on the singers Facebook page all tickets to the cancelled shows will be honored at the make up dates in August.

Also via her Facebook, Katy sent out this message, “I apologize to my fans in Chicago & the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend, but I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!”

Perry’s tour will resume in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on July 13.

She is not the only sick starlet on the mend right now, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] is recovering from bronchitis and has missed four shows on her world tour thus far.
