Come the Fourth of July do you ever get tired of hearing that one same song over and over again. You know the one we’re talking about. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lee Greenwood[/lastfm]‘s “God Bless the USA”. It gets played over and over, with the same slow beat and melodic tones of Mr. Greenwood.
It’s not that we don’t like the song, it’s just been the same thing since it was released in 1984 every patriotic holiday since. Until July 4th, 2011 when [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beyonce[/lastfm] made it a little more new millennium.

The pop diva took Greenwood’s hit and turned it into a powerful modern version of the classic song. Don’t be surprised if in the years to come you hear less and less of Lee’s version and more and more of Beyonce’s. What ever version is your favorite they both make us proud to be Americans.
