At last night’s Texas Rangers game against the Houston Astros, it was not the players who set a record. Over 30,000 Rangers fans put on sunglasses after the sun went down to break a Guinness World Record for the most people to wear sunglasses at night.

Former President George W. Bush and former Texas Ranger Nolan Ryan sat side-by-side at the game donning sunglasses provided by Reliant Energy. With 33,533 fans in attendance, it was not hard to break the previous record set at 423 people wearing sunglasses after dark. Only two sections of the crowd were actually counted, and a representative for Guinness announced the official record to be 424 after the 6th inning.
