Like Daughter, Like Mother: Demi Lovato’s Mom Heads to Rehab
Rough year for the Lovato clan…
Earlier this year Demi Lovato checked herself into rehab to deal with emotional and eating disorders after she physically assaulted one of the young dancers on her tour. While there, she was diagnosed as being bipolar. Congrats!
While Lovato is out and about again, and looking great, the rough patch doesn’t seem to be quite over.
Demi and her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, recently called it quits.
According to Page Six the couple cited their age difference as the reason behind the split – Lovato is barely legal at 18, Valderrama is 31.
A source close to the couple told the New York Post, “The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives.”
Normally, at a time like this, you’d want to seek refuge in your mom, but as it turns out Lovato’s mom, former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Dianna Hart de la Garza, recently checked herself into rehab!
No word as to what specifically de la Garza is seeking treatment for, only that now that her daughter was strong enough, she felt like she could take the time to deal with her own issues.
Lovato recently had ‘Stay Strong’ tattooed on her wrist. It looks like she’s going to be needing that reminder now more than ever.
