Normally, 23-year-old British chanteuse [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Adele[/lastfm], waits until after a fairly tragic period in her love life to pen a new album.

But after massive success with her sophomore endeavor, 21, Adele is already churning songs for her third album.

During an interview with UK’s The Sun, the  “Rolling In The Deep” singer said that she plans to put out her next album in May 2012 and the forthcoming LP with feature Adele doing an upbeat “girl power” song and  cover of the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]INXS[/lastfm]‘ ’80s hit “Never Tear Us Apart.”

I have five tracks ready to go. One of them is quite upbeat – a real ‘girl power’ type of song.

I plan to do a cover of the INXS hit ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ which is probably my fave song of all time. The whole album will have quite a live feel to it.
