Singer-songwriter [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jewel[/lastfm] is hosting and judging the new show Platinum Hit on Bravo, so she called up Gene & Julie to tell them all about it!

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jewel[/lastfm] talks to Gene & Julie about motherhood, songwriting, and her new show, Platinum Hit.

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jewel[/lastfm] is teaming up with fellow songwriter [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kara DioGuardi[/lastfm] to judge Platinum Hit. The show is about up-and-coming singer-songwriters who compete in songwriting challenges testing their creativity, patience and drive. From dance track to love ballad, every episode will feature a different theme that will require the contestants to write and perform lyrics from multiple genres. The winner will win a $100,000, a publishing deal with Sony, BMI Songwriters The Writing Camp, and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.

Platinum Hit premiers on Bravo Monday, May 30th at 9pm CST!
