Here is the inevitable path of the average modern pop star: you make a smash hit record, you tour for two to four years, you put out your sophomore effort, your business consultants tell you to start a clothing line, a perfume company, and a shoe line.
Depending on the pop star’s personal design aesthetic, sometimes the clothes are gorgeous, but most of the time they are bottom-of-the-sale-bin level.
Using our keen sense of fashion judgement, we decided to rate Ten Celeb Curated Fashion Lines from stars like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Miley Cyrus[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lindsay Lohan[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gwen Stefani[/lastfm] to tell you whether you should save your money to buy their next album instead of their furry, animal-print booty shorts.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (6 out of 10 hearts)
Avril Lavigne’s pretty punk rock princess fashion line Abbey Dawn actually isn’t that bad, but it’s made for the Hot Topic teen set rather than fashionable adults–which is what Lavigne now is.
It would be a little different if she didn’t insist on wearing her brand everywhere, but the designs are cute, affordable, and they look like reasonable items for a 15-year-old to wear going out to the movies with her friends.
