It was revealed today that Rod Stewart‘s daughter, Kimberly Stewart, is pregnant with Benicio Del Toro‘s child after a secret fling. Reps for Del Toro have also made it clear that the two are NOT a couple, but Benicio is “very supportive.”
That means he’ll pay child support and take the kid every third weekend of the month.
This would be the latest in unsuccessful relationships for Kimberly Stewart, and it appears the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Poppa Rod Stewart has had numerous relationships turn sour over his long and illustrious career, many of which have been public.
Rod Stewart is a legend in the music industry, but he’s also a bit of a legend with the ladies, having had many high profile relationships over the years. Before [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rod Stewart[/lastfm]‘s first marriage he had long relationships with model Dee Harrington (1971 – 1975) and actress Britt Ekland (1975 – 1977). Even before those very public relationships, Stewart had a child out of wedlock with art student Susannah Boffey. Their child was raised by adoptive parents.
Rod, I hope you send her a birthday card every year with a substantial, monetary gift.
Rod Stewart Walks Down the Aisle!
Rod‘s first wife, and mother to Kimberly, was actor George Hamilton‘s ex-wife (Ew, sloppy seconds!), Alana Hamilton. She was an actress and a model, which might have been part of the criteria for Stewart‘s potential spousal candidates.
His marriage to Alana lasted five years, ending in 1984.
Stewart went on to date or marry only models over the next 25+ years, with his most high profile marriage being to Rachel Hunter.
The couple married in 1990, separated in 1999, and finally divorced in 2006. Over their 16 years of marriage and separation, the couple had two children, Renée and Liam McAlister.
Stewart is currently shacked up with model (I told you there was criteria) Penny Lancaster and the couple have two children, the most recent being Aiden, who was born on February 16th.
Time to tally it all up. Seven relationships, three of them marriages, and a grand total of EIGHT children. Hopefully Rod has finally found “The One” and can settle down for good now. But he hasn’t followed his own advice when it comes to marriage. Stewart was once quoted, “Instead of getting married again, I’m going to find a woman I don’t like and just give her a house.”
Sound advice, but I suppose it’s tough to follow when you have to beat women away with a stick.
I mean, come on… look at the guy!
