Your local theater is about to get healthier! AMC theaters is doing its part in the fight against obesity by providing “smarter” choices at the concession stand.

For $7, you get a bag with fruit chips, natural air-popped chips, a bottle of water and a Chocolate Chip Trail Mix Bar. You’ll still be able to get your favorite snacks at the movies, but for a price.

Other chains are helping out by making fattening snacks like popcorn and soda so expensive it will be hard to buy them, kind of like cigarettes.

I guess Homer Simpson will have to find a new approach!
