Do you love hot dogs, but heard that they weren’t good for you? Well surprise they may be better than you thought.

When it comes to healthy food choices, hot dogs are probably not high on most lists. But new research shows that Hebrew National or Oscar Mayer Weiner may be better for you than other choices — like grilled chicken.
A Kansas State University study found hot dogs and other processed deli meats are nearly free of chemical compounds called HCA’s. Those compounds have been linked to increased risk of cancers, especially colon, stomach and breast cancer.
By comparison, the study found very high HCA levels in the skin of rotisserie-grilled chicken. The study also found lower levels of HCA compounds in pepperoni and other deli-prepared meats like ham and roast beef.(MSN.com)
