Everyone knows vegetables are good for you, and today Kimberly Schlegel Whitman talks about the benefits of microwaving vegetables over steaming them.

  • Cut them in evenly sized, fairly small (less than an inch) pieces
  • Toss or sprinkle with 1 or 2 tablespoons of water.
  • Cover loosely to trap the steam, which keeps the vegetables moist.
