According to the U.K.’s Daily Mirror, Simon Cowell tried to steal Jennifer Lopez away from American Idol and is not happy that his plan failed.

JLo reportedly was approached by Simon Cowell right after she signed her deal to become a judge on American Idol.

Initially she was up for the idea and was ready to make the change, when Simon Fuller, American Idol “big wig”, stepped in and brought Jennifer back on board to American Idol, leaving Simon mad about not getting his way.

X Factor premieres later this year and it is expected that Nicole Scherzinger will join Simon Cowell and possibly Cheryl Cole on the judging panel.

Also, rumors are swirling that the show is also in hot pursuit of Jamie Foxx as well.
