Little Girl’s ‘Born This Way’ YouTube Video Makes Lady Gaga Cry
10-year-old Maria Aragon can sing and play the piano pretty well for her age.
While she doesn’t have a record deal or a hit single she does have a huge fan who just happens to be one of the biggest popstars in the world: [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm].
Maria’s “Born This Way” cover video on YouTube was up less than 24 hours before it caught Gaga’s attention and brought the superstar to tears.
“Can’t stop crying watching this,” tweeted the singer early this morning. “This is why I make music.” Just like that Gaga’s eight million plus followers caught wind of the tiny tot’s video.
It has since skyrocketed to over 60,000 views. Of course, it’s only a matter of time until that number grows and the next viral video sensation is born.
Lady Gaga has definitely had that effect in the past.
In April 2010, a boy from Texas named Greyson Michael Chance took the internet by storm with a video of himself performing Gaga’s “Paparazzi” at his sixth grade music festival.
The YouTube clip has since garnered over 37 million views and it landed Greyson a record deal after Gaga and Ellen DeGeneres took note of his talent. He was the first artist signed to DeGeneres’ record label eleveneleven.
He is currently on tour with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Miranda Cosgrove [/lastfm]and recording his debut album.
There’s no telling where you’ll end up after Lady Gaga points out your talent. If Greyson is any indication, this simple tweet could mean big things for Maria Aragon.
We might have the next YouTube/singing sensation on our hands!
