[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Chris Brown[/lastfm] will not be in attendance at the Grammys on February 13th, even though he’s up for three awards.

 ”Chris Brown is very thankful for his Grammy nominations, but due to scheduling conflicts, he will not be attending the Grammys,” according to a statement from his rep, Tammy Brook.

She also mentioned that the prior engagement was scheduled “months ago.”

Of course fans have speculated that Chris doesn’t want to go because his ex [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rihanna[/lastfm] will be performing, but reps for Brown claim that the scheduling conflict is all that is to blame.

Brown was before a judge this past Friday to reduce his restraining order from Rihanna down to a “do not annoy” order. So far he’s completed more than one-third of his community service sentence and has also finished his domestic violence counseling.

He is currently serving five years of probation for a felony assault count.
